In Inkscape, you can duplicate objects.  A duplicate is an exact copy of the original and Inkscape places it directly on top of the original making it indistinguishable from the original. You can use the Selector tool or any other method that enables you to move objects to move the duplicate to another location.

Duplicate an Object

  1. Select the object(s) you want to duplicate.
  2. Click Edit > Duplicate. Inkscape duplicates your selection.

Or

Or

Press Ctrl + D. Inkscape duplicates your selection.

  1. Move the duplicate to the location you want.
