Zentangle: Several More Zentangles

I have the results of several challenges to share with you, but, before we get started, I want to explain a few things. First, all of these drawings were drawn in Inkscape, and all of the effects such as colors, shadows, bevels, and overlays were added using a very old version (version 3) of Photoshop.

Several Zentangles

As a beginner artist, I am still learning and experimenting with different ideas. There are several tiles presented in this post and each of them represents the accomplishment of a different milestone in my development. I love drawings with a somewhat realistic bent, so the keys are my favorite, but giving the phicops the ability to spin was, also, a major accomplishment.

Zentangle: Flowers

This is for Joey’s Weekly Tangle Challenge #204. It’s a “finish my tile challenge.” She started with the pattern Hibred and then added some random ribbons. I was in the mood for drawing flowers. So, that’s what I did. I  drew it using Inkscape software, then added a tiny bit of inner shadow.

Zentangle: Christmas Star

This is for the I am the Diva weekly challenge #344: use the tangle Afterglo, by Carole Ohl.  I created the image using a software package called Inkscape, placed it on a black background, and applied the filter Combined Lighting to each of the objects in the image to create a metallic effect.
